PURE WELSH GOLD FROM CLOGAU MINE being 17g of small gold nuggets refined to nine carat with copy of fingerprint sheet Auctioneer's Note: Cambrian Goldfields Ltd. was registered in 1996 and the late Mr Williamson had over twenty years prospecting experience, not only as the Managing Director of Cambrian Goldfields Ltd. The late Mr Williamson was also renowned for his generosity, particularly to the Royal Family, members of whom were presented with gold for the manufacture of jewellery for highly acclaimed special events. The late Queen Mother, The Earl & Countess of Wessex and The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall (now King and Queen) have all been the beneficiaries of the late Mr Williamson's generosity Provenance: originally extracted by Cambrian Goldfields Ltd under a Mines Royal Licence from the Dolgellau Gold Belt. The mines are the Afonwen, St David's, The Prince Edward, Clogau and Mawddach Mines and the Cambrian Goldfields Ltd proudly emphasize that all their gold is 100% pure Welsh Gold and all gold supplied by the Company is fingerprinted* and thereafter traceable. The lots have been entered to auction by a private South Wales vendor who purchased the gold at our auction in July, 2019 when it was consigned by The Estate of the Late Mr Kenneth W Williamson, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Cambrian Goldfields Ltd. The gold has remained in the vendor's safe untouched since the auction.
